Welcome to EQUITY DEVELOPMENT
The UK's longest established regulated provider of sponsored equity research.
To successfully grow a company will always need the support of its shareholders – in maintaining an appropriate rating or to provide finance when required. At a time when there are thousands of companies competing for the attention (and capital) of investors, it is critical for a company to take sufficient steps in ensuring that its corporate message is properly understood by the widest possible audience. Quality equity research from an external source is the most effective means of achieving this.

Introduction
Equity Development was launched on the back of observations by seasoned practitioners in the investment banking and communication industries as to the critical importance to companies of external parties understanding their corporate activities and ethos. Those parties can be existing shareholders, prospective investors, bankers, financial commentators, trade press, acquisition targets or potential staff recruits. The audience is massive, but the time that corporate management can devote to delivering that message face-to-face is, of course, finite.
High quality equity research is a most effective medium and for many years there has been an almost limitless supply of company analysis from integrated stockbrokers. However the changes demanded by politicians such as Elliot Spitzer, effectively preventing the cross-subsidies to the cost of research from other parts of a bank, have meant in recent years fewer analysts, of diminishing experience, writing on a rapidly growing number of quoted companies in Europe (e.g. now over 1500 Aim listed stocks, versus 1000 just two years ago).
There is a clear correlation between volume of research about a company and its comparative rating against a sector peer group, reflecting the additional interest that will be stimulated from investors. A clinical statistical review, 'Price of Neglect' shows the cost of under-coverage can exceed 35% of value in some sectors .
Equity Development believes its own structures and operations should match best practice in the Financial Sector, and has been regulated since inception - the FSA now being the relevant authority. In our desire to help even the smallest quoted companies grow we are a Corporate Adviser on Plus Markets, yet we have also done extensive project work for corporate giants such as BP.
The needs of each company are unique and we pride ourselves on providing each corporate client with services from our extensive offering that best suit their requirements. We also enjoy excellent working relationships with other advisors (brokers, NomAds, IR and PR firms) ensuring a team effort to secure the best results for our shared client.
